What Is Junior
Fellowship?
Junior Fellowship (JF for short)
is our youth group for 7th and 8th graders. JF
meets every other Friday after school from 2:10-4:00pm during the
school year. It's simple, students are invited to hop on the
church bus (parked in the back lot next to the field...walk out the
back doors, take a right past the gym and tennis courts, take
a left and walk parallel to the soccer fields, and there we will
be). Sometimes we stop off for
ice cream or a kickball game before heading to the church; other
times we head straight to the church for snacks, activities,
and engaging discussions. Students attending a
middle school other than Henry James are welcome, we just as that
they contact Rev. Kevin at kevin.weikel@1stchurchsimsbury.org
in advance.

Friday, February 17, 2:10-4:00pm: Hop on
the church bus at Henry James (see details above) and we'll
head back to the church to share highs and lows and snacks,
participate in games and a discussion relating to Valentine's
Day, and close with our traditional candle prayer.
Friday, March 2, 2:10-4:00pm: Hop on the
church bus at Henry James (see details above) and we'll head
back to the church to share highs and lows and snacks and
participate in an afternoon of games. We'll close with our
traditional candle prayer.
Friday, March 16, 2:10-4:00pm: Hop on the
church bus at Henry James (see details above) and we'll head
back to the church to share highs and lows and snacks, participate
in discussion on a relevant topic, and close with our
traditional candle prayer and a game.
Friday, March 30,
2:10-5:15pm: Whirlyball! Whirlyball is a
wild and wacky game played on bumper cars and requires no athletic
ability. We will head straight to Whirlyball from HJMS (if
you attend a school other than HJMS, please contact Rev. Kevin at
kevin.weikel@1stchurchsimsbury.org
so we can find a way to meet up). Cost is $20 per person
and includes pizza. You must bring a completed parental
consent from (see "Downloads" tab on the left).
